You've heard of a canting keel, but what about a mast. Coming soon Sailingtheory.com looks at science behind this.
The general consensus id that a canting mast is useful if you sail downwind alot, but not if you regularly sail windard. However you could argue that if you have sailed in one direction off the wind, how do you return your journey back to the safety of your home port?
